Feminist Strategies for a Post-covid Economic Recovery in the MENA Region

The Regional Gender and Feminism Office at Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) is pleased to invite you to its second online discussion from the "post-covid feminist agenda" series which aims to invite feminists and activists from the MENA region to discuss and reflect upon feminist solutions for the "new normal".

The session is organized in partnership with the FES Regional Economic Policies for Social Justice Project, and revolves around "Feminist Strategies for a Post-Covid Economic Recovery in the MENA Region".

During this 90-minute panel discussion, feminists and activists from the region are invited to discuss feminist strategies for economic reforms, and propose alternative economic structures that address gendered inequalities and contribute towards gender and social justice for the “new normal” after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The session will take place on July 6, 2022 from 05:00 p.m. to 06:30 p.m. Beirut time and will be moderated by Samah Krichah, Programme Officer at Kvinna till Kvinna.

  • Farah el Shami, Research Fellow, Arab Reform Initiative
